Amanda Jae serves as the Day School Director at Palma Ceia UMC. Since 2016, Mrs. Jae has instituted “developmentally appropriate practices” (DAP), overseen the implementation of new curriculum (including Florida’s VPK program), and established multiple initiatives for Early Childhood leadership and professional development in South Tampa. Mrs. Jae’s experience as an educator includes classroom instruction with ages 3 through 7 years old in both the private and public sectors. She is passionate about providing a caring environment for children while also cultivating dynamic professionalism amongst her staff. Mrs. Jae avidly believes in the power of community building as a means of improving the early childhood offerings for children birth to 5 year years old in Hillsborough County, advocating for not only her own Day School, but for all faith-based educational providers.
Mrs. Jae grew up attending public school in Plant City, has a B.A. from the University of Florida and a Masters of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) from the University of South Florida. Mrs. Jae, her husband and daughter now live in the Ballast Point neighborhood of South Tampa with their golden retriever, Bear.
